Gyro Meat. Really good.

I mixed a recipe from that crockpot website (356crockpot.com) and The Food Network. It turned out really good and smells spectacular. I still can't believe what you can do with a stolen-from-your-sister crock pot.

1 lbs ground lamb
1 lbs ground beef
1 med onion
1 med onion (a second onion)
1 T oregano
1 T rosemary
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2-3 cloves garlic minced
Lemon juice

Put the first onion in the food processor. (use your mother's cuisinart if you don't have one). Process until finely minced. Turn out onto a tea towel and squeeze out all the liquid. Then mix all the ingredients together except the second onion and the lemon. Put the mix into the food processor and process for about 1 min until it is a paste. I recommend doing this on three batches so you don't overload the processor and be forced to buy your mother another cuisinart and still not have one yourself.

Slice the second onion and put it in your sister's slow cooker.
Shape the meat paste into a "loaf". Place on the bed of onion. Squeeze the juice of one lemon on top. Cook at medium for 2-3 hours. The meat should be 165-170 degrees. Slice very thinly and serve with tzadziki, feta, tomatoes, rice, pita, lettuce, etc. It's amazing.

No sugar, no white flour, all delicious.
