Indian Butter Chicken - Slow Cooker


Chicken Makhani or Indian Butter Chicken
2 lbs chicken.  (boneless breasts or thighs, frozen like a brick)
1 onion, sliced
6 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons butter
15 Cardamon pods (in a way to get them out again(tea bag, sewn together))
2 teaspoons curry powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
2 teaspoon garam marsala
1/2 t ground ginger
salt
1 can coconut milk
1 can tomato paste
2 tablespoons lemon juice (juice from one lemon)
1 C yogurt

Pop it all in the crock pot, stir to cover.  Cook on low 4-6 hours.  Add yogurt at the end. I eat it with brown rice.

I got this from the Crock-Pot-Lady at crockpot365.com.  There are only about 10 of her recipes that I enjoy, but those 10....I make all the time....they are fast, easy, and taste good.
